On the 19th September 2020, on a sunny afternoon in our (very) local village church I became Mrs Saxon-Hardy!
It was the most wonderful, emotional, love filled day and perfect in every way. I wanted to document this incredible moment of our lives here, so please enjoy some of my favourite photos from the day starting with before the ceremony, our church service and immediately after. Our incredible photographer James Merrick captured the day perfectly and we cannot thank him enough.

Walking the short distance (approximately 2-3 minutes) to the Church with my family is something I will never forget. I am so thankful for the weather that day, it was so sunny and warm, but not too hot! Neighbours stood in the street to wish me well as I walked past, which overwhelmed me in the best possible way. The entire walk, although fairly short, felt so surreal – I think I floated!

The church service felt so intimate and emotional (lots of tears were shed). Our incredible vicar Sue gave a wonderful service, full of laughs, love and kind words. As you can see from the images inside the church, our wedding took place during the COVID pandemic and was therefore smaller than many (the guidelines for that time allowed 30 guests), but that tiny church was filled to the brim with love and happiness on that day. We honestly wouldn’t change a thing – it was the best day of our lives so far.
In fact, can I take this moment to say to any couple considering a smaller guest list wedding, go for it! We personally didn’t compromise on anything other than the guest numbers (we could have scaled the wedding down but took the attitude of, you only get married once) and even that wasn’t an issue for us. I appreciate it’s personal choice – even in non-COVID times I wouldn’t have had a huge guest list as the intimate vibe is what we wanted. Of course there were many people who weren’t there who we would have loved to share the day with, but in hindsight everything felt perfect. We just felt so lucky to have our day!
After the service we spent some time outside of the church, reflecting on the day so far, having photos taken, confetti throwing and chatting with our guests. You may notice quite a lot of blue in our theme, it’s not only my favourite colour but the grooms too!

After confetti throwing, chatting to guests and thanking the vicar for a wonderful service it was off to the reception venue in our blue Morgan car!
To be continued…
